Hi Lisa

Just the ONE ?

I currently use Firefox (windows XP pro and the latest version Firefox 2.0.0.15 ? because when I booted my machine tonight it automatically installed it - I normally have this PC on continuously - only switching off occasionally to see what updates need doing!). I have not (and will not just now) installed v3.0 (wait till the dust settles) Screen Res 1280 x 1024 (had to look that one up to check!!  Embarrassed )

I actually have a plug in (well lots - but this specific one) to switch rendering engine to IE.  And I also have Opera installed.  I use the two former ones as a test bed for sites, but I haven't thought of using them as the default.

Firefox is my fav!!  Lots of easy to install add-ons - because I like to play around!  I don't remember when or why I changed from IE - but I did (a long time ago) and never really think about using another - until someone says "have you tried . . . . . " and I will probably be there to do just that.  I'll give anything a go  Grin

Interested to hear other views as well - great Poll !!

Since I use both a apple and a pc on my desk I could actually vote twice for my fav.

But in both cases it's FF (the latest is what I'm using) because of the plugins.

I originally switched to FF years ago and there's no turning back now.

But when I got a apple I did experiment with safari.  But I found that on some sites there was a compatability problem so I rapidly gave up on it.

Firefox for me. Probably mainly to smite MS, but I do like all the extra add-ons/plug-ins and the community around it. These days, I only use IE to double check my pages. 1440x900 on both monitors.

Lisa,

Thanks to Ed Dale, I'm using the Flock Beta 2.  0b2 (Ed probably recommended the non-Beta) at 1440x900, on Vista Business Edition.
I have it so loaded with addons, its hard to say why I like it so much.   But these are some of the things Flock advertises:
    *  People Sidebar: Keep your friends with you while you browse
    *  Drag’n’drop: Share photos and videos instantly
    *  My World: Everything you care about in one place
Addons include, but not limited to:
    *  Better Gmail2
    *  Colorful Tabs
    *  DashBlog
    *  Fast Dial   -  This is absolutely my Favorite
    *  FireFTP
    *  FoxMarks BookMarks Synchronizer
    *  FoxyTunes
    *  Image Zoom
    *  KGen        -SEO types, pay attention
    *  ReloadEvery
    *  ScribeFire
    *  Smart Bookmarks Bar
    *  StumbleUpon
    *  Sxipper
    *  Tabs Open Relative
    *  Thirty Day Challenge Toolbar
    *  TwittyTunes

Not a browser or even a browser tool, but everyone should check out Digsby for IM/Email/Social Network functionality.   Featuring a chat multi-client, featuring Google Talk, Jabber, AIM, Yahoo, ICQ, MSN and FaceBook.   Email viewer for Gmail (Multiple Accounts), POP, IMAP, AOL/AIM, Yahoo, and  Hotmail.
Social Networking viewer/poster for Twitter, MySpace, and FaceBook.

Score another one for Flock!(23. 1%) I also found out about this awesome browser from Ed Dale and the 30 day challenge.  It's the same as Firefox under the hood, but it has been tricked out with a ton of cool features for the ever growing social scene of the web.

It keeps track of you accounts & services in the sidebar.  All the social media and bookmarking sites, as well as your favorite feeds.  There's also a media bar at the top that you can open on sites like flikr and youtube where you can flip through thumbnails and find stuff you're looking for a lot faster.

It also has a built-in blog editor which you can configure to post to your blog from anywhere or save clips to post later.  There are a few more things I never even use.

IE kept crashing all the time, so I found Flock at the perfect time, it never crashes on me.

So long IE. . .  B)>

I use Mozilla 3. 5 version because of its security fixes an amazing add-ons.  But Google chrome is really fast.

Me too, I still prefer Mozilla Firefox 3.5 because some of the add-ons that I'm using are not compatible with the latest version.

Google Chrome isn't on there so I wasn't able to vote.  I used to use Firefox but it got too slow and too cluttered.  I see that the latest version of Firefox is pretty much Firefox in Chrome skin.  LOL
