Hi Campbell

Absolutely !

I know that Project Payday works because I just started doing it my self.

Most Internet Marketers  are not interested because this actually pays for
your time.

You can easily earn 50 bucks an hour and you get paid quickly.

You can go to ProjectPayday.com and sign up for around $35 one time fee
or you can PM me and I can show you how to sign up for free.

All you need is a Paypal account (free) Internet service and the ProjectPayday
website that will train you in everything that you need to know.

You can start getting money in your PayPal account in just a few days.

Best of Luck to You

Hi Campbell,

"Reliable Thing" ??  There are so many online businesses that I'm sure you will just have to be careful. Some may be more reliable and stable but take too much money and/or effort to produce income. Some may have too steep a learning curve. Some may just turn out to be a waste of time.

That being said, I am a BIG believer in the power and the validity of online income sources in general. It certainly is a rapidly growing industry and is here to stay. I think you are in the right place as far as wanting to work online at home and being on this forum. I'm new here and it is very helpful for me to just read all the different topics.

I'm sort of in the same boat as you, accept that I've always done several things for work, and I am still currently working. I'm also pretty green as far as online marketing goes,  but I have learned a lot that is helping me get it going. Part of what is necessary online is to learn to think more like an entrepreneaur than an employee. That is a big shift for most of us.  I'm 58 and am looking at setting up ongoing residual income from several sources, all of which will hopefully take a only a reasonable effort to produce maximum long term residual income to take care of me from here on out.

The mental struggle of facing financial difficulties is always tough. Just hang in there and relax and have faith in the power that gives us all life. You have been provided for all your life up until now and I don't believe that will ever change.

Davet's suggestion sounds pretty good. I'll have to check it out myself.

I wish you good luck and great joy in your online adventures!

It's more frequently "no" rather than yes.  It depends on your background and how much you put into it.

Remember that many of the top online marketers were successful entrepreneurs offline before they went to an online model.

That being said ... YES for many people it does work.  Roll up your sleeves and welcome aboard!

hei i had the same problem,no job and two small kids couldnt get a job without daycare and could not get daycare without money, funny right.
well anyway i paid this site to get going and they helped me getting started, they cost a bit more than many others but they really delivered. but you must know they dont give you the money its a bit of a jungle out there and in the beginning it seems confusing and alot of work, but in time it does work if you follow their advice and uses the sites they recommmend.
it does not happen over night, but if you are willing to do the work there is alot of monney in it.

There are many business opportunities out there. Many of them are profitable and a good fit for the newbie while others are not. Everyone is going to tell you that they have the "the greatest compensation plan" or the best this and that.

Just be careful what you do. Make sure it  is something that you have the time to do. Many will claim that it is turn key and you don't have to do a thing.

That is not true. You have to set yourself up so that it will be automated. But like anyother business you have to lay the foundation for your success.

remember the key to success online is knowing that this is not a sprint...It is a marathon

To answer the original question, yes. Just about everyone I know online works at home. I'm surprised there is any debate on this. As long as you have the computer with the Internet connection (and whatever software you want to use), it doesn't matter where you are physically located.

There's really no need to have a separate office unless you have employees working with you or don't like working at home.

Hi Campbell,

You did not mention your background, although it seems as though you have been in paid employment.

If that is the case and you are thinking of starting an on line business (you mention the word business in your post) and your employment was not in a sales or marketing environment, then you will probably have a very steep learning curve to get over, before being even modestly successful with an Internet business.

I would suggest that you initially try and find some work which you can do from home that will pay you a "wage" in order to generate an income. Indeed, this may be what you are looking to do anyway. In which case, I have miss interpreted your post.

If though, you are intending to start an Internet business and you do have off line business experience, carry out research and decide what's best for you and I am sure that you will succeed. Most off line entrepreneurs do. If on the other hand you have no first hand business experience then you have a lot of work to do. Not least to change some of your perceptions of life (your mind set).

That last sentence may seem to be a bit dramatic, but it is fundamental. If you are in business, you have to stop thinking as a consumer and more like a provider. A provider who has to compete with all of the other providers in your chosen market niche. Remember, there is no guaranteed wage, you only earn from your sales.

Bear in mind as well that there are probably more local, national and international scammers, thieves, scum bags and rip off merchants operating on the Internet than there are grains of sand in Nevada. So join forums and use search engines to find out about the bad guys, before you sign up to anything.

Be aware too that there are a lot of people on the Internet who blow a lot of hot air and give the impression of being successful entrepreneurs when they are not. So believe nothing unless it is verified.

I hope that you have not found this post to be negative, but if you have no income at the moment, then the last thing that I would want to see is you losing the remainder of what you have.

I am sure that something will turn up for you and I wish you the best of luck with your chosen path.

Regards,
Jeff.

Hey Campbell,

That was a lot of answering but only one sent you to a website.

There's soooo many places that say you can make money BUT first you have to give THEM money to tell you how to do it THEN they have your money and leave you hanging! No knowing what to do next.  Over the past year I've spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars buying into this and that and, guess what, I haven't made a dime back.  AND after you bought into whatever it was THEY send you to other places where you HAVE to buy this for it to work or that for making the most money.  It's just a vicious circle.
You can buy into almost anything but unless you know how and where to advertise it you'll be just like me and earn nothing.
Yesterday I lost my job and being 60 and living in Las Vegas, where THEY only want to hire 30-somethings I'm going to put forth a wholehearted try to see if I can do this without investing anymore money.
There are places where THEY say you can make money without an investment and some where it's only $10 or $12.  Because I was working I'm not sure how many I have, maybe 5 or 6, but if you email me I'll send them to you.

I always get so ticked off when someplace offers their site for free and then want money afterall.  YOU NEED TO "UPGRADE" THEY SAY.

If I EVER find something that makes me a lot of money I promise you I'll build a website to give it away.

I'm not looking to make millions.  I just want to make enough to stay home and take care of my disabled brother and not leave him alone 5 days a week, that's all.

Anyway, email me if you want the these websites I have and I'll send you any ideas I have that might help you.

Another thing to consider: That question is much like asking "Is conventional employment a reliable thing?" these days. The answer to that question - as you have discovered - is no. Good people are losing their jobs all over the place, and many find they are facing (illegal, but insurmountable) discrimination in their attempts to get new jobs. Does that mean that the laid off (and recent graduates, etc.) should not go out and try to find a job? Some here will say they shouldn't - they should go online instead. But in general, it is still a good idea for most to try and find gainful (and, hopefully, insured) employment.

On the other hand, many people in the "work" world will say that you should not go online, that you would be better off flipping burgers. But in general, it can still be a good thing to do your homework and then come swimming with the rest of us.

Either way is a gamble. Both have ways to increase your odds (often with a lot of work and luck), but neither is dead certain.
