I'm speaking actually of my 7 year old daughter. Let me begin by telling you a bit about her:
In some ways she is a smaller version of mommy and in other ways a smaller version of daddy.
But one thing is for sure she is
an enterprising young woman. This winter she set about to raise the money to pay for a Nintendo Wii ... and yes she raised every penny by working for it.
Having watched both mom and dad working online for her entire lifespan (albeit only 7 years so far) Erin naturally wondered what she could do herself to start her own online revenue stream.
Would she wonder about a job? A paper route? Nope. She's never seen either one of per parents leave the house to go out to a JOB.
So she watched mom.
She watched dad.
She spent her spare time in my recording studio making all kinds of music. Some with singing, and some without. She has been experimenting and recording for months, especially while off school for the summer break.
(And by the way if you're a
tunes gone wild member ... she did the background vocals on one of the recent royalty-free tunes. So yes she's absolutely ready to present you with her music.)
Meanwhile back to my story ...
In recent months she would come to us and say, "mommy do you think people will buy this? Can you listen to my new song please? Is this good? Do you like it?"
