Let's see, with a name like Jeff Smith I could choose from my vast number of bio's - Interior Decorator, Gourmet Cook, Criminal Wanted In 48 States....woops, better stop there.
Alright, let me give you the quick and dirty...
I spent the first part of my working life (over 10-years ago) developing all sorts of products for small companies, large multi-nationals and my own companies.
They included software, consumer products, and yes...information-based products as well as creating service and consulting packages.
In short, I did an amazing job of earning lots of companies millions and millions of dollars with my learned ability to discover niche markets, uncover demand and quickly outline a solution that would hit a raw nerve in any given marketplace.
Sometimes I developed the products myself, sometimes not...but each time I was able to quickly become involved in a market and understand exactly what it is that they want so badly, they will pay almost any price to have.
To make a long story short, about 10-years later I finally figured out - hey...why am I doing all of this for other people when I could be doing it for myself and run a much better company that often was the case when others kept control (another story I hope to share with many of you over a beer someday).
That's when it struck me...I'm going to develop my own information-based products and training and sell them online.
With the help of the master Mr. Blake (Tony I think you still owe me an hour's consulting from back in 2000

-) I worked away at developing a number of e-books and reports which morfed into infoproduct bundles, audios and eventually videos, a number of blogs and membership sites.
Currently, my company operates information publishing businesses in 3 niche markets (completely separate and non-internet marketing related) and I can honestly say that there is no business I would rather be in than bringing information to desparate markets.
It's fun, it's challenging - but not difficult, I get to learn everyday, it builds equity and reputation and it is extremely profitable...I hope you get the sense from this section of Tony's great board that any one of you reading this can turn knowledge, experience and research into your own profitable info-publishing business.
Now, stop reading this and GET TO WORK!
