In all the Internet Marketing Seminars, DVD sets & books I've read all the gurus say to outsource.  I've found this to be a mission - it has been hard work finding a couple of good people.  The reality of going back & forth, bac & forth has been frustrating to say the least.

But the real truth is the gurus don't outsource they way they tell us to outsource.  They tell us to go to guru.com & elane & rent a coder & find individual people that way.  The gurus don't do this.  They organise their teams in a centralised location & regularly fly to the country their team of outsourcers are in & train them personally.  Mike Filsaime flies to Romania & Mark Joyner flies to the Phillipenes to personally make sure their team of programmers are on track.

I was wondering what others think about this?

The answer is simple, really.

Those guys have the money to build an "in-house" team. Even if they are overseas.  Typically those places they fly to - those programmers, etc. are (more often than not) exclusive to that company.

They also understand that the average on line business cannot afford to do this, so the next logical choice it to outsource through sites like rentacoder.com, guru.com and so on.

I know more than one business that found their "team" on one of those sites and hired them outright after a few successful jobs.

They DO practice what they preach. Many have simply moved on from there. They would not do any service by convincing people to hire a staff when they are not ready for that.

There IS a middle ground.

I personally have my own "team", but they are used only as I need them. Whether it's video expertise, programming, copywriting - every part of my business that gets outsourced is done through someone I have thoroughly vetted.

It's much easier in this day and age of social networking to connect with experts in any field... and to get recommendations from others.

Figure out what you need. You SHOULD have a business plan, and a detailed idea of what you will need over the next year. Decide what to outsource, and then begin searching for those who meet your requirements using your network of business associates both here on this forum and other social media.

Create a team of reliable experts that you can call on when you need them... You don't need to have a full-time outsourcing team on the payroll to accomplish everything you need.

Hi I agree with Lisa, if you plan ahead and outsource when you need to you can save time and be more effective in your marketing campaigns, therefore make more money.

There is a great jobs page on Wealthy Afilliates web site where you can post for jobs and services, for all I know (me am new here) There may be one here.

Best wishes, Gavin
