You can see it on the streets and in the (Brick and mortar) stores - it's the season for Christmas decorations. Have you put your Christmas (or, if relevant, Hannukah) decorations on your site? Your special Holiday offers? Your "Gift suggestion" articles and the like?
Once upon a time, it was considered tacky before Thanksgiving day. Now, it predates Halloween!
Black Friday is coming early this year, to a number of retailers... from Wal Mart to Macys.
A few of my sites really don't count -
http://ClassicChristmasStories.com is that way year round. But if you are not set up that way, you should probably get moving.
This probably wouldn't qualify as an ESF special, but if anyone is interested in using Victorian and early 20th Century graphics for their decorations, there is a royalty free collection available at a discount at
http://classicchristmasstories.com/BuyChristmasClipart.html Ignore the usual "buy now" links. Go to the bottom of the screen (under the big picture), and click on the Santa Claus graphic. You will get an additional $5.00 off, lowering the price from the (already discounted) $14.97 to $9.97. It goes through Clickbank, so the usual 8 week guarantee applies.
Shameless self promotion aside, it really is time to make sure your site is in Holiday mode (If it is in any way, shape, or form relevant. And if you sell anything, it is relevant).
A Happy Black Friday to all!
Jorey
