Another thing you should add there is you should actually like the product/topic that you are blogging about.  It's difficult enough to keep a blog updated, what more if you constantly have to update about something you're not even the slightest bit interested in.

It's really hard to think and come up with something to blog about.  That's the most crucial and one of the hardest parts of earning through blogging.  If you go for the mainstream topics then your competitors could also eat you alive.  Any tips in choosing a niche?

I have a few niche topics advice chooose niches that you have an interest in if you do your research and find your interest cannot be monetized that select niches that have growth trends in other words niches that have room for more development some are weight loss and diet, and a very popular one is dog training.
