It's that time of year again - time to take down the pumpkins and skeletons, and put up the wreaths, dreidels, trees, stockings, and all the rest. Some major retail chains are already running their Christmas ads (Aaaargh!)   

The question is how are you presenting your site for the season. Are you going "classic" with Victorian imagery? Modernistic, with angular, abstract images (a stack of triangles for a tree, etc.) and/or simple color changes to red and green (possibly with gold or silver trim)? Comfortable, with familiar images in familiar styles? Silly? Serious? And why?

I would imagine a certain Moderator here would have a lot to say about the reasons and what should go into the design and decision process.

What kind(s) of site are you (dear readers) running, and what kind of decorations are you using/will you use? And when do you think is the right time to deploy the seasonal decorations?

We've always gone minimalist in our home, even before recession-chic was in vogue.  :) We just put a wreath on our door, a few lights on our porch, and sometimes put a few garlands in our garden.  What we spend on though, is the FOOD.  YUM
