(Doug Barger on Passion)
Hi Tony,
I watched your latest video and like it.
You are expert at expressing your ideas and I appreciate both
your candor and willingness to share (which seems to
weave its way into all your offerings online. )
Looks like I'm now, officially a Blaker
(already a Barger so the water wasn't so cold anyway) with this post and
I want to thank you Tony and Josh Anderson for encouraging me to join and all other Blakers here for such a warm welcome to an exciting and refreshingly vibrant forum.
May you each see increase in every way possible far beyond even the highest expectations imaginable.
Personal Passion
For me personally, in life, as well as business,
the passion is that all consuming fire that can't
be quenched by adverse circumstances, previous mistakes
or stumbling blocks and propels us unrelentingly toward fulfilling
our purpose like a driving force that cannot be stopped.
To be more specific, I love to see people who have been
secretly harboring a dream like a fugitive from the world,
discover the resources and knowledge needed to equip
themselves to have that dream take shape and come to life.
One of my favorite sayings is-
"Don't despise the day of small beginnings. "
Sure, it's great to look back on years of achievements and meaningful connections and sort of pinch yourself
and say, "Is this real?"
I think it's even more powerful, though, to think back to a time
when all you had was a dream and a desire to live it.
Being able to "speak life" into someone's life and business concerning
their abilities and that "
can do" power to create lasting and
meaningful whole life prosperity (including material wealth)
by just making tiny shifts in their
thought life is a reward second only to seeing that
"light" come on in someone's eyes along with a smile
that almost makes you think you could soak up that new belief they're
exuding after they see some major personal and professional success that
breaks their previous "what is possible for me" threshold.
Do I show that I care?
I hope it's that desire, to see life lived to the fullest, happen
for other people that comes through in what I do today- and if it's not,
then it certainly gives a challenge worth shooting for tomorrow.
I've been blessed to meet some amazingly gifted and caring
people who have set their personal agendas aside long enough
to impart much appreciated wisdom for this life's work and
am thankful for that.
My passion is the eternal hope and freedom for all people to
enjoy true and lasting "whole life prosperity. "
Embracing Everyday Events as Opportunities
Every new day and new interaction with people is a new opportunity to learn
something. . . everyday a precious gift presented from on highest to be received with thanksgiving and enjoyed to the fullest!
I want to squeeze
every ounce of joy out of this life before leaping to my
grave laughing!
Okay, maybe a peaceful graduation in sleep would be more
fitting, but whatever way of exit from this world chosen for me,
I know it only marks the entrance into an existence so glorious that
even the collective sum of all the greatest experiences in
this life will be forgotten as altogether vanity.
There are many areas of interest in business that I'm
passionate about, but that passion to give birth and new life
to old dreams and new ones alike for others and myself
is what I'd say drives me the most.
"At the End of the Day"
At the end of the day, it's the problems we solved for others
and the seeds we planted in eternity that tells the true story
of how successful we were.
All for now. . .
