In my latest videoblog I talk about "PASSION"... that driving force that compels us to do what we do and reach for our dreams, goals, milestones, etc...

Watch the videblog below and then in this thread let us know what YOUR passion is... what drives you?... what compels you?... what pushes you forward?... what are your dreams and goals?... what is it you are wanting and working towards accomplishing?...

Passion is an extremely powerful tool that we, as marketers, people, family members, etc. can use, must use, to help us move forward and succeed...

So... what's your passion?

Success!!!

That question sounds simple, doesn't it?

It's not.

Every day I am asked how to start an online business, mostly from people with little or no real experience and usually a desperate need for added cash flow.

Every person who asks me that - friends, family and strangers alike - gets the same reply...

Follow Your Passion.

So many people throw up their hands and think I'm avoiding the question, but I'm not. Many have no idea what passions they've allowed to get drowned out by the monotony of life. They think that it's all about learning all the tricks and buying all the gadgets, and they're not asking me how to build a business - they're really asking me to help them do what I do.

The problem is that my passion isn't theirs. People may see my lifestyle and want to emulate how I live and what I do because they see how happy I am. But that doesn't mean that my passion will be fulfilling to them in the same way...

I'm so freaking lucky, I can't believe it sometimes. I get up whenever I want, I sleep whenever I feel like it; I jump out of bed each day with eagerness and joy, often jumping online before I do anything else. I have every comfort - I indulge myself with the things I love, and have shed what things I don't require to make my life happy. I have a VERY tight-knit family and we are always there for one another, no matter what. I have many friends and just a few "best" friends... and I have one person who inspires me, challenges me, exasperates me, infuriates me... makes me laugh, cry, think, grow, learn and makes every single day happy and complete, a real blessing, just by being part of it.

My family was a massive hurdle - they didn't believe it was possible to create a sustainable income online, and for quite a while at the beginning, I bought into that and always kept a "real job" as a safety net. Having the people closest to you roll their eyes when you talked excitedly about things they couldn't understand was very hard... I just stopped talking about it.

Talk is cheap. And since I couldn't explain it, I thought, "I'll just show them!" - so (long story short) that's what I did. I dropped my safety net, and dove into the deep end. Sink or swim.

Guess what? I swam. Smiley

I am passionate about several things, and I've managed to make those passions the focal point of my life and making them fulfill my practical needs as well. That, in my opinion, is they key to real success.

I absolutely love doing graphic design work - I've been an artist since I was small, and now I get to create "art" every day. Web designs, posters, book covers, signage, logos... and I still paint pictures whenever the mood strikes me. Honing this skill has given me real fulfillment - and it also creates enough cash flow to pay for my needs and the medical needs of my parents.

I also just really like to help/teach people. I know, I know... it sounds so damn corny. I am very selective in those I help, however. I won't help someone who is not willing to help themselves, who is looking for me to do the work for them. I refuse to waste my time convincing anyone to succeed. But I will help anyone who'll remove the word "can't" from their vocabulary, and I don't care if they don't know the first thing about the internet! I've got the patience of a saint when it comes to anyone with a willingness to learn.

Of course there are several more things I'm passionate about. I won't go on further. But the main thing is that I am now stress-free, very happy, financially comfortable and no longer at the mercy of the 9-5 mentality. For me, that is my definition of success. Yours may be different - but the road to attaining your goals is the same...

Follow your Passion.

It really does work.

Think, Write & RETIRE!

Quite coincidentally, today, I blogged about the role of passion in
determining success.

To answer Tony's question, I'll point to an earlier post on my blog,
titled "A Deeply Personal Paradigm Shift"

http://moneypowerwisdom.com/a-deeply-personal-paradigm-shift/

Thanks for highlighting this (critically) important point that far too
many business coaches either gloss over, or completely ignore.

All success

This is a Great topic! Why?  Because I think today many people don't have a passion, or understand what it is and why you should have one.  Too many are just filling in time.  Passion is within yourself.  Something, that if it were missing from your life, would impact your happiness and well being.  Something that would leave a hole in you.
Like Lisa, I have always had a passion for creating art and doing 'crafty' things.  I'm working on figuring out how to work this all into IM.  My love is silk painting, watercolor and anything that strikes my curiousity at the moment.  I have some ideas, now doing research.
As an aside, years ago (o.k., decades!), I read an article in a women's mag about, instead of seeking out men to date/marry that had a good job, nice house, made lots of money etc, a woman should look for a man that had a passion.  I thought about that and thought it good advise, since I was and am alway going to be doing art.  I finally found him...my husband isn't rich (in fact right now we are very much struggling), but he is absolutely passionate about Arabian horse-particularly racing Arabs and, no matter how poor we are, has held on to a premium herd.
Let's hear about your passion?!

Imagine, if you would, how you would feel if you could help one person cure their cancer? Or maybe some other illness that was destroying their life? It's my passion to help a whole lot of people to be able to cure one person...or two...or twenty.

A few months back I met an elderly woman who had what is called "geographic tongue." It is a painful condition...we are talking about a person's sensitive tongue...where the top of the tongue looks like a map due to the deep fissures in it.

After she struggled with her problem that had gotten worse over 14 years, this poor woman was a nervous wreck. She wanted to be able to walk away from her tongue, but of course she could not.

Picture this woman who was shaking like something was eating her up from the inside...which in a way it was.

She'd been to every doctor over the years, but not one was able to improve her condition. Thank goodness, I was able to help her. In fact, she is cured. She no longer shakes. She is no longer a nervous wreck.

In two months, her tongue was almost totally healed. She was so happy, she cried and hugged me. In four months, her tongue had no evidence whatsoever of its horrible burning past. She sticks her tongue out at me every time I see her. And then she grins.

The cause of her problem is the same cause that is destroying the health of many, if not most, ailing Americans today. Her symptoms manifested on her tongue. Others get diabetes. Or sinus problems, or fibromyalgia. It contributes to cancer. And heart disease. And obesity.

Thank goodness, all those problems can be easy to solve. That's why another woman lost 90 pounds effortlessly following my suggestions. She too, had tried and failed so many times before.

I can help one person at a time with this. But it won't be enough. Too many people have this problem.

As a result of this common problem, our nation is headed for a physical collapse...just as ancient Rome collapsed from lead poisoning from their aqueducts... because these many illnesses are striking children now. Their future is bleak in too many cases...hundreds of thousands, if not millions of cases of children suffering from obesity, diabetes, and serious sinus problems which lead to learning problems, as well as asthma.

What is so stunning about this rampant illness is that it is so easy to cure. It's not easy with the medical model we are using now, but it is simple with the methods I've learned and put together.

So what is my passion? It's to get the word out about my book, because when enough people become aware of this, it will provide me with a platform to take the next step, to help rescue one person...or two...or twenty..and then 20 million.

It's kind of ironic. I have broken bones in my back from infancy that have caught up with me in the last year which makes it difficult for me to walk more than a few hundred yards. So I'm the cripple who would like to help heal the nation...but only if we do it together - one person at a time. That's my passion.

The best to you.

Kelley

The Passion Is Alive!(Doug Barger on Passion)

Hi Tony,

I watched your latest video and like it.
You are expert at expressing your ideas and I appreciate both
your candor and willingness to share (which seems to
weave its way into all your offerings online.         )

Looks like I'm now, officially a Blaker  Grin  blake
(already a Barger so the water wasn't so cold anyway) with this post and
I want to thank you Tony and Josh Anderson for encouraging  me to join and all other Blakers here for such a warm welcome to an exciting and refreshingly vibrant forum.
May you each see increase in every way possible far beyond even the highest expectations imaginable.

Personal Passion

For me personally, in life, as well as business,

the passion  is that all consuming fire that can't
be quenched by adverse circumstances, previous mistakes
or stumbling blocks and propels us unrelentingly toward fulfilling
our purpose like a driving force that cannot be stopped.

To be more specific, I love to see people who have been
secretly harboring a dream like a fugitive from the world,

discover the resources and knowledge needed to equip
themselves to have that dream take shape and come to life.

One of my favorite sayings is-

"Don't despise the day of small beginnings.           "

Sure, it's great to look back on years of achievements and meaningful connections  and sort of pinch yourself
and say, "Is this real?"

I think it's even more powerful, though, to think back to a time
when all you had was a dream and a desire to live it.

Being able to "speak life" into someone's life and business concerning
their abilities and  that "can do" power to create lasting and
meaningful whole life prosperity (including material wealth)
by just making tiny shifts in their
thought life is a reward second only to seeing that
"light" come on in someone's eyes along with a smile
that almost makes you think you could soak up that new belief they're
exuding after they see some major personal and professional success that
breaks their previous "what is possible for me" threshold.

Do I show that I care?

I hope it's that desire, to see life lived to the fullest, happen
for other people that comes through in what I do today- and if it's not,
then it certainly gives a challenge worth shooting for tomorrow.

I've been blessed to meet some amazingly gifted and caring
people who have set their personal agendas aside long enough
to impart much appreciated wisdom for this life's work and
am thankful for that.

My passion is the eternal hope and freedom for all people to
enjoy true and lasting "whole life prosperity.              "

Embracing Everyday Events as Opportunities

Every new day and new interaction with people is a new opportunity to learn
something.            .            .             everyday a precious gift presented from on highest to be received with thanksgiving and enjoyed to the fullest!

I want to squeeze every ounce of joy out of this life before leaping to my
grave laughing!

Okay, maybe a peaceful graduation in sleep would be more
fitting, but whatever way of exit from this world chosen for me,
I know it only marks the entrance into an existence so glorious that
even the collective sum of all the greatest experiences in this life will be forgotten as altogether vanity.

There are many areas of interest in business that I'm
passionate about, but that passion to give birth and new life
to old dreams and new ones alike for others and myself
is what I'd say drives me the most.

"At the End of the Day"

At the end of the day, it's the problems we solved for others
and the seeds we planted in eternity that tells the true story
of how successful we were.

All for now.   .   .
To Doing it Big!
