The guys who publish Giveaway Manager just posted this on their blog:

This involves a new event called Jokebox Giveaway which is recruiting partners, so you might want to avoid it since it's running on bootleg software.

This is Brad Smith from Giveaway Manager 2 - you're quite right.
This bloke is out to harm the internet marketing community, and shouldn't be trusted.

. . .  but we're sure that this won't stop him from repeat offences. 

And despite the fact that we have valid hacked PayPal records, unless PayPal see a website where he is selling your software, then they can't convict of fraud.

Read the comments from our blog and there are a lot of other people that have been ripped off by this bloke.

As well as using Brad's script he also uses stolen copies of Simple Member Pro and Scott Case's giveaway script as well.
